Minister Luwie, a Namibian-based Gospel artist, is set to release his highly anticipated 12-track album titled "My Victory" this coming Easter weekend. This album marks a significant turn-around in Luwie's music career, as he was encouraged by popular clergy Shepherd Bushiri to make a switch from secular music to Gospel music, and the result is a powerful project that is sure to resonate with fans.
Luwie, who was born in Kwekwe, Zimbabwe, has always been involved in music circles, but the diaspora effect made it difficult for him to connect with fans back home. However, with the release of "My Victory," Luwie is poised to make a strong comeback and bring his music to a wider audience.
The album features eight tracks produced by Maselo, which give a professional feel to the live performances, and the remaining tracks were done by different production houses but blended together seamlessly to give the project a classic touch. The songs on the album are potential hits, with standout tracks like "My Victory," "Makavimbisa (Walk With Me)," and "Yave."
Luwie's first album, "Ndafunga Kure," was a must-listen Afro Jazz project that hit radio stations and earned him hits like "Tichatevera" and "Unodarirei" under the stage name Ras Luwie. However, his encounter with Shepherd Bushiri led him to make a U-turn from secular music and fulfil God's calling of Gospel music.
