The future of the Zim Warriors star has been hanging by a thread at Aston Villa, and former club defender Alan Hutton tipped the 28-year-old midfielder to find another club since he has fallen down the club’s pecking order.

Hutton advised the Zim international of this move whilst speaking to Football Insider.

“It depends on what talks have gone on behind closed doors and where the manager sees him.

“Does he fit into his plans? I think we will probably get an idea of that in the coming weeks leading up to January. If he does not feature, he has to go; it is as simple as that.

“If a new manager comes in, clean slate for everybody, and you are still nowhere near it, then I think the writing is on the wall that you need to move on.”

Nakamba has been struggling to make the squad under the fired Steven Gerrard, who once contemplated sending him to loan after several clubs inquired about the player.

However, Gerrard gave the Zim star a chance to redeem himself and fight for his spot in the starting squad. Unfortunately, Nakamba remained sidelined from the matches until the Liverpool legend was shown the exit door.

With Gerrard being replaced by the new manager Unai Emery, many expected a rebirth and more game time for Nakamba, but this did not happen as the midfielder still struggled to get into Aston Villa’s starting squad.

Meanwhile, Nakamba has only featured once for Villa under Emery.

Nakamba featured for his side during a friendly fixture against Cardiff on Wednesday, where the Premier League side succumbed to a 3-1 defeat by the Championship club.

It, however, remains to be seen if Villa will offload Nakamba in January.
