South Africa-based Zimbabwean singer Sha Sha has released a new single titled ‘Woza’.
The song is available on all major streaming platforms and is the first release since her autobiographical debut EP Blossom in 2019. In the song, the BET Award winner boldly urges her fans to live in the moment and stop worrying.
“This song is December, it’s for December, inspired by December,” the amapiano singer said. “After the year we’ve had, I just want everyone to let their hair down and enjoy themselves.”
‘Woza’ is accompanied by a music video directed by Nate Thomas and Nigel Stockl. In the video, a gorgeously styled Sha Sha moves through a selection of power poses and choreographed moves flanked by a group of dancers. The video then cuts to a club where she is in her element on a low-lit dance floor.
Sha Sha’s notable features on Kabza De Small’s ‘Why Ngikufela’ and Scorpion Kings’ ‘iThemba’lam’ cemented 2020 as her ground-breaking year. With ‘Woza’ she issues a strong summon to the dance floor that’ll be hard to resist this summer.
