DStv is removing TB Joshua's Emmanuel TV channel

Emmanuel TV, the channel set up by the late founder of the Christian Megachurch Synagogue Church of All Nations (SCOAN) TB Joshua is getting discontinued on DStv.

The channel has been on channel 390, publicising the activities of the church.

Now, the electronic programme guide has a notice written Emmanue TV Channel Exit.

The details say, “Dear viewer, please note that Emmanuel TV will exit on the 17th of January 2024. Thank you for watching.”

The exit comes at the same time as the BBC documentaries, which brought to light allegations of abuse by TB Joshua, among them rape and torture. The three-part series was published on YouTube this past week.

There is no official indication as to whether this move is a reaction to the scandals in the documentary.

TB Joshua died on 5 June 2021. The church is now led by his wife, Evelyn.
